We are currently 100% owned, controlled and managed by black individuals. Our aim is to transfer at least 30% of the ownership to our workforce by 2025.
100% of our employees, senior, middle and junior management are black. Currently woman makes up 20% of our employees and it is our intention to increase this percentage in the near future.
We are fully committed to the development of black owned enterprises and have to this end provided an interest free loan to an individual in our community to start his own spaza shop. We can proudly say that this loan is 50% paid off and this business is growing stronger by the day.
We realised and acknowledged that businesses like ours have to play an active role in supporting and uplifting black small & medium enterprises. To further this purpose, care would be taken to ensure that monies is spent on organisations that need it most and that conform to the Black Economic Empowerment Policies of our country. To achieve this, we undertakes that 60% of our total expenditure is expended on these organisations by 2025
It is an objective of our company to empower our people by educating them. We are currently spending approximately 3% of our payroll on training of black workers. Six of our employees have just successfully completed a two year course in Construction Supervision (NQF 4). Further, we are sponsoring three students at University Level to complete their studies; Stellenbosch University Civil Engineering Cape Peninsula University of Technology Civil Engineering Vaaldriehoek University of Technology Accounting
